Guillermo del Toro'yu 8 adaylıkla "Dunkirk", 7 adaylıkla ise ödül sezonunun favorilerinden "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" filmleri takip etti. "Mudbound" filmiyle En İyi Sinematografi dalında aday gösterilen Rachel Morrison, 90 yıllık Oscar tarihinde bu dalda aday gösterilen ilk kadın oldu.
